1 - Do I have to descale the element?

Yes, every 7 or 10 times. Simply fill the bowl with 1/3 water and 2/3 white vinegar up to the maximum mark. Switch on the appliance for 1 hour then leave to cool before rinsing out thoroughly with water and a little washing up liquid.

2 - What happens when food has different cooking times ?

If you are cooking food with different cooking times, start cooking in the lower bowl with the food requiring longer cooking time. When the timer reaches the setting for cooking the food requiring a shorter cooking time, remove the lid using a cloth, and put the upper bowl in position. Close and continue cooking.

3 - Not all the ingredients are cooked

The ingredients are very dense and have a different cooking time : try to prolong the cooking time.

Too many ingredients are cooked together : put the larger sized ingredients and the ingredients with a longer cooking time in the lower bowl.

Try to not overload the steam bowls.

Descale your appliance.

Cut the ingredients into small pieces.

4 - Can I still use salt/seasoning with my food?

The flavour of food is much better in a steamer and therefore any seasoning should be used sparingly.
If required, you can sprinkle it lightly on the food, not in the water.

5 - Do I have to stay in the kitchen while my food is steaming?

No, you do not have to watch the steamer. Simply set the timer and the bell will let you know when your food is ready to eat. There are no risks of burning the food and no need to stir it.
Caution: Do not forget to put water in the reservoir.

6 - If I place more than one vegetable in the same steaming bowl, will the flavours mix?

No, the beauty of steaming is that the vegetable flavours will not transfer, even if they are all mixed together.
